I was away in Mexico City for a few days and took the opportunity to visit the Palacio de Belles Artes where my Songs from the Poets will be premiered in January.
Lovely place. And I can recommend visiting Mexico City. As huge cities go, it is quite affordable and offers a wealth of attractions. We visited the museum Carlos Slim built in memory of his wife the Museo Soumaya.
It is quite spectacular and very professionally curated--even more so than the more venerable Museo Nacional de Antropologia:
But back to the Museo Soumaya. It is on six floors and currently the top floor is an exhibit of sculptures by Rodin and Salvador Dali. Some remarkable pieces. The admission is free. Here is an article on the museum.
