I quite like using purple for proofing documents for work on the iPad. Black is too commonplace, and red is far too garish and judgmental. As for the fountain pen, I haven't used one for years. Screens are ok, but an over-reliance on them should not be encouraged at educational levels! I once saw a child tap the cover of a book to access its contents.

I was writing in my journal the other day and was vaguely disappointed when a word I thought I might have misspelled was not automatically underlined in red.
